The Night Before China....

First, I got the money, so crisis averted. I must keep this brief as I was supposed to be in bed an hour ago. I have been rushing around like mad since my daughter went to bed. I can't believe it only seemed like a few little things were left to do, but it turned into a huge ordeal, oy.....I think I'm done, I know I'm packed and I'm certain that I'm ready! My ride will be here in 8 hours to take me to the airport. So, I'd better get to bed! See you all in China!

I dropped Deb off at the airport at 10 AM. I was a little suprised about the police dogs around front doors at Newark International, but otherwise all went smoothly. Deb got through security and called around 11 to say she was waiting for the plane!

Ni Hao Sophie! Hey Deb, sounds so wonderful. Don't worry too much yet--a number of kids who were not walking when adopted started to stand and walk before we left China. They carry them around a lot in China because they don't want the babies on the floor.

You could try to see the foster family before you leave, but it would take some persistence and travel and a "donation" to the orphanage to do it. Your tour guide would handle that for you.
